Voidmïlker is a new one-man band created by Gabriel Hugo who has previously worked on the post-black metal project Lascar. This new musical adventure tries, in contrast, to delve into the darkest passages of black metal, both sonically and aesthetically, without neglecting some more melodic traits already characteristic of Gabriel Hugo's previous work.
With an aesthetic associated with the occult and contemplative, there is a search to capture a vision of the genre not only as something negative and misanthropic, but rather as a path to the reflective and spiritual.
Musically, Voidmïlker seeks to contrast dissonant passages, commonly associated with the most avant-garde side of black metal, with melodic and harmonious passages, giving a counterpoint where both sides of the genre are able to meet.
The first album, called "Labyrinthical" will be released on July 7, and has 7 songs with a total duration of approximately 34 minutes. It will be available on cd through the Chilean label Tragedy Productions and in all the streaming platforms.
The first single “Decades” is a perfect example of what you’ll find in the album, exploring sonically saturated passages, but looking at times for moments of melodies that create dynamism to a theme that reflects on the human search for spiritual development and the constant struggle with our own fears.credits
